Fabrication Technician – AD Systems – Everett, WA The Fabrication Technician will work on the production floor to fabricate sliding door frames and accessories prior to assembly. The role may cross-train in several fabrication areas but will focus on aluminum fabrication and mechanical assembly of aluminum door frame components. This role will also consist of aluminum profile saw cutting, operation of a CNC router, material handling, and quality control.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of manufacturing experience is preferred, ideally in fabrication such as machining, quality inspection, soldering/welding.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to pick up quickly on operating different machines.
  • Effective communication skills (written and oral)
  • Ability to read and interpret technical documentation, drawings, parts lists, assembly instructions.
  • Good computer skills with ability to use Excel, Word, Email, etc.

Responsibilities

  • Use a variety of hand tools and machinery, such as hand drills, table saw, chop saw, forklift, and nail gun to fabricate aluminum door frame components.
  • Review documentation and drawings to understand the components for fabrication.
  • Use pick lists, part lists, and assembly instructions to fabricate the door components.
  • Work cross-functionally with the assembly team and other production support to fabricate according to customer specifications.
  • Follow Standard Operating Procedures to ensure consistency and safety in operating machinery.
  • Provide routine inspections of tools and equipment to ensure safety and quality.
  • Train other employees as needed on fabrication process.
  • Support the basic troubleshooting and repair of machinery as needed.
  • Provide other support and duties as assigned around the manufacturing facility.
