About The Position

As a Fabrication Technician, you’ll play an important part in building the equipment and systems that support sustainable solutions and real-world environmental impact. In this hands-on role, you will fit, join, fabricate, and repair metal and other weldable materials, applying the appropriate welding techniques to meet detailed product specifications and production schedules. Much of the work is custom fabrication, offering variety and the opportunity to apply your skills across a wide range of components and projects. Success in this role comes from strong teamwork, problem-solving, and pride in building quality equipment together. You’ll collaborate closely with fellow fabricators and production team members to bring designs to life while supporting our mission of advancing environmental technology. You will report directly to the Fabrication Department Manager.

Requirements

  • Must have a minimum of two (2) years experience fabricating in an industrial or agricultural environment.
  • Familiar with a variety of welder concepts, practices, and procedures.
  • Ability to understand welding symbols and diagrams, read blueprints, and/or other printed instructional material in the welding of products or parts.
  • Must be thoroughly familiar with welding equipment such as torches, torch tips, filler rods, flux, hoses, valves, and gas cylinders.
  • Competent in using potentially dangerous equipment following all safety requirements.
  • Rely on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.
  • Demonstrate willingness to work with others in a team environment.
  • Positive, willingness to learn and participate in a changing environment to reach a common goal; not to exceed one written warning.
  • High School diploma or GED required.
  • Up to two years of fabrication experience or related field.
  • Tape Measurement and Blueprint reading skills.

Nice To Haves

  • Aluminum welding and heavy equipment manufacturing experience a plus.
  • Prior fabrication experience a plus

Responsibilities

  • Fabricate steel components with welding equipment as specified by layouts, engineering drawings, work orders, or verbal instructions.
  • Work includes set-up, laying out work using jigs/fixtures or hand layouts to fabricate parts and/or rework finished products.
  • Work with fitters or fitters/welders to assist in the fabrication or welding of multi-component parts.
  • Operate forklifts, hoists, hand power tools, slings, grinders, cutting torch, and other hand tools related to the jobs needs.
  • Inspect and correct welds as necessary to meet product specifications.
  • Read, understand, and follow job order specifications, engineering drawings, and/or work orders.
  • Willingness to cross-train and perform the work of other job tasks in addition to the primary assigned position.
  • Inspect equipment to maintain functional equipment if any equipment needs repairs notify supervisor/lead or maintenance department.
  • Perform a variety of complicated tasks, as required.
