About The Position

The Fabricator I role is responsible for assembling case parts and products in the Fabrication Department using machinery and hand tools. Comply with all safety policies and procedures, including wearing proper Personal Protective Equipment Perform job duties in a manner that follows Eaton’s Quality standards and systems Assemble products using various types of equipment Use hand tools, small power tools, or other special equipment to assemble products Interpret orders and drawings to determine procedures and conduct work according to drawing specifications Conduct inspection of parts and quality checks using a variety of measuring tools Perform rework operations as required Replenish inventory of fabrication department Maintain cleanliness of equipment and work areas using Eaton’s 5S procedures

Requirements

  • Must have a High School Diploma or Equivalency from an accredited institution
  • Must have one year experience in a manufacturing setting
  • Must not be on a written or a final written warning
  • Employees can apply and be awarded a new role but must have a minimum of 6 months service time in their current role before moving to the new role
  • Possess strong oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to read and understand wiring schematics, blueprints, and drawings
  • Able to move material as needed using material handling carts (push/pull 50lbs)
  • Able to lift/carry up to 50 lbs
  • Team player and able to collaborate with others to effectively complete work assignments per customer orders
  • Willingness to participate in training opportunities
  • Practice good housekeeping to keep assigned work-area clean, organized, and orderly
  • Perform other duties as required including flexing to other departments

Nice To Haves

  • Experience working with machine operator experience (grinders, resistance welding, and other metal working equipment)
