About The Position

Develop and fabricate tooling and/or other parts to improve and facilitate production processes necessary for the operation of the component repair business

Requirements

  • Associate’s degree in manufacturing or related field and minimum of (5) years' experience or (10) years’ experience with the following: fabrication of aluminum, steel, iron and/or other metals.
  • Experience with pneumatics and hydraulics. Proficient using powered shop tools like saws and drill presses.
  • Advanced welding experience (TIG, MIG Stick).
  • Capable and willing to work overtime; weekends as needed
  • Must pass physical, background, and drug screens
  • This role requires access to U.S. export-controlled information. Therefore, employment will be contingent upon the ability to prove that you meet the status of a U.S. Person as one of the following: U.S. lawful permanent resident, U.S. Citizen, have been granted asylee or refugee status (i.e., a protected individual under the Immigration and Naturalization Act, 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3)).

Responsibilities

  • Makes final sketch of proposed drawing; checks dimensions of the part, materials to be used, relationship of one part to another, and relation of various parts to whole structure or project
  • Utilizes knowledge of various tools, engineering practices, mathematics, building materials, and other physical sciences to complete essential and necessary builds
  • Perform welds with different materials (steel, aluminum, etc.)
  • Read and interpret technical drawings, use simple math to perform calculations, and use precision measuring tools
  • Develop new & simplify existing processes/fixtures/jigs/cutting tools, etc. supporting year over year continuous improvements, impacting safety, quality, customer delivery and cost
  • Use hand tools to cut, grind, weld and assemble metal together to construct a part/structure
  • Assist other team members, oversee and teach operators
  • Manage materials and equipment for Moonshine area and keep stock readily available
  • Effectively manage time by adjusting and prioritizing work as needed
  • Adhere to and follow all safety procedures, i.e., lock-out/tag-out; report safety concerns, use appropriate PPE as required, and follow similar safety practices
  • Work and perform setup and troubleshooting duties in a timely manner
  • Abide by company rules, policies and procedures
  • Punctual and dependable
