What You'll Do: Analyze blueprints, specifications, work orders to plan, layout, assembly, and welding operations. Will set up and operate welding equipment to weld, repair, join or fabricate parts by working off blueprints, sketches or verbal orders. Performs seam finishing, component fit-up, drilling and tapping and other minor machining functions, recommends tooling need e d to save time. Moves material with appropriate equipment throughout the work area as needed (forklifts and crane, etc.) Completes standard job sheets for each job. Reports any discrepancies in material to management. Maintains tools, gauges and equipment in a clean, orderly and safe manner. Complies with company policies and procedures giving special attention to safety regulations. When and Where: This will be a 1s t Shift / 5:00 AM -1:00 PM M-F position located at our Plant in Spartanburg, SC . Occasionally, this may require you to arrive early, stay late, or work on weekends, outside of our regular hours, to ensure we successfully meet customer needs, deadlines, or urgent requests. What You Need to Have: H igh School Diploma or GED Equivalent . Three or more years of related work experience. Able to read blueprints . Knowledge of and experience with TIG, MIG, stick welding, riveting, and soldering, as well as calipers, and multiple measuring devices. Has high standards of performance for self . Press brake and shear experience preferred Proficiency in MIG, TIG, stick welding of steel . Proficiency in welding of aluminum and copper preferred. Proficiency in hand grinding, drilling, anchoring , rigging required. Ability to create drawings from verbal direction Ability to properly specify and size appropriate materials for project . PC literacy in basic programs Literacy and reading comprehension a must Basic math skills Must be 18 years of age or older Able to stand for 8-10 hours a day and be physically capable of performing the essential functions of the position, with or without reasonable accommodation. Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English at a level sufficient to safely and effectively perform job duties, including following work instructions, safety procedures, and company communications.
