About The Position

Out of the Woods Custom Cabinets is looking for a Face Frame Builder to join our production team in Layton, Utah . This role is responsible for building the face frames for cabinets while maintaining high standards of quality, safety, and craftsmanship. This is a hands-on position in a fast-paced cabinet shop environment working with woodworking equipment, hand tools, and production machinery. Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Experience using hand tools and power tools
  • Ability to read and follow written and verbal work instructions in English
  • Ability to read and interpret shop drawings, measurements, or work orders
  • Ability to accurately read a tape measure and perform basic math calculations
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing quality work
  • Dependable attendance and punctuality
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Ability to pass a pre-employment drug test

Nice To Haves

  • Experience operating woodworking or shop machinery
  • Previous cabinet shop, woodworking, construction, or manufacturing experience
  • Basic understanding of woodworking tools and shop practices

Responsibilities

  • Build and assemble cabinet face frames according to specifications
  • Set up and operate woodworking machines and shop equipment
  • Use hand tools and power tools to complete cabinet components
  • Read and interpret blueprints, shop drawings, and work orders
  • Measure materials accurately using tape measures and basic math calculations
  • Follow quality standards and safety procedures, including Safety Data Sheets and shop guidelines
  • Maintain a clean and organized workstation
  • Report equipment issues or safety concerns to management immediately
  • Assist the assembly team or warehouse during slower production periods
  • Perform other duties as assigned to support shop operations
