About The Position
LifeSouth Community Blood Centers is looking for an enthusiastic, team-oriented, and responsible individual to join our team as a Facilities and Supplies Specialist in Madison, AL. This position is responsible for activities related to the daily cleaning and maintenance of the facility and grounds as well as ordering, receiving and expensing supplies.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- Valid driver's license. Must also meet and maintain LifeSouth driver's eligibility requirements
- Ability to use various floor care machines and other electronic equipment necessary to facilitate daily cleaning and maintenance
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals
- Interact professionally with all customers, both external and internal
- Ability to multitask and prioritize
- Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing
Nice To Haves
- Two years of facilities experience preferred
- Knowledge of building and grounds maintenance, including and overall upkeep of all assigned areas preferred
Responsibilities
- Inspect company facility and grounds daily to ensure cleanliness and safety of all areas
- Make repair and maintenance recommendations to the Regional Manager
- Coordinate and monitor vendor work at the facility, ensuring all work performed by the vendor is properly completed and appropriately billed
- Coordinate the ordering, receiving and expensing activities of the district
- Prepare weekly and monthly inventory counts to reconcile inventory in the region
- Prepare supplies needed for blood drives
- Perform inspection of vehicles and provide cleaning as needed
