About The Position

The Facilities Applications Analyst will be responsible for supporting Facilities leadership in identifying and acting on growth opportunities using a data-driven approach to improve application utilization, performance and data accuracy. Specifically, this role directly supports management and the facility operations team by providing subject matter expertise, quality control and user training resources for one or more applications, such as Smartsheet, M365, and GitHub. Strong learning, teaming and teaching skills are highly valued and required. Demonstrated commitment to growth in application knowledge is expected, and behavior and actions that are in alignment with the QTS Customer Creed.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent professional experience.
  • Prior experience or willingness to learn the required business applications, including Smartsheet, M365, and GitHub.
  • Prior experience or willingness to learn Data Center Operations.
  • US Citizenship for this position is required by law due to federal customer contracts.

Nice To Haves

  • Proficiency with APIs and Python programming.
  • Two or more years of experience supporting M365, Smartsheet, and GitHub.
  • Two or more years of experience supporting Data Center Operations.
  • Certifications related to M365, Smartsheet, or Data Center Operations.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Exhibits excellent interpersonal skills with all levels of the organization
  • Uses organizational skills to determine prioritization and appropriate multitasking

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the Subject Matter Expert and technical resource for various applications utilized by Facilities teams.
  • Build strong working relationships with global application administration and Site operation teams to facilitate feedback from the end users and drive application improvement and innovation.
  • Recommend, prioritize, coordinate with application administrators and track to completion platform enhancements.
  • Generate and export reports to enable data-driven decisions by Facilities leadership.
  • Work with sites and leadership to assist with building visualizations and providing summary reports.
  • Analyze datasets and information to identify application improvement opportunities.
  • Define improvement project requirements by interviewing stakeholders, analyzing data and processes, determining project scope and documenting results.
  • Track and report status of project actions taken to drive application improvements.
  • Recommend changes and update written policies and procedures.
  • Craft quality professional written communications and templates.
