About The Position

The Facilities Architect is a key member of a team that designs and manages construction projects at Draper’s campuses. The incumbent applies architectural techniques, procedures, and criteria to the process and is expected to continually advance their design capabilities. Design documents are produced utilizing Revit.

Requirements

• Exceptional proficiency with Revit is required
• Knowledge of construction details and quality standards
• Excellent communication skills and willingness to take on new challenges in a fast-paced environment
• Constructively builds and maintains relationships with others on the project design team
• Bachelor of Science degree in Architecture required.
• Minimum 3 years’ experience designing commercial building spaces, including offices, labs, and secure facilities
• Applicants selected for this position will be required to obtain and maintain a government security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Architectural design of building construction projects in Revit
• Design and develop test fit options for lab and employee spaces
• Ensure that design work meets standards, building codes, guidelines and regulations
• Maintain master architectural and MEP drawing files for Draper
• Provide customer support with the layout and selection of furniture to create efficient space
• Conduct periodic field observation of work during construction to ensure compliance with design documents
• Provide support to the corporate space planner
• Revit technical expert to the facilities team
• Coordinating design elements with other design disciplines
