About The Position

The Facilities Associate is responsible for supporting the daily maintenance, repair, and overall upkeep of the company’s building and grounds. This position plays a critical role in ensuring a safe, clean, and well-functioning environment for employees, visitors, and vendors. This is an active, physical role focused on the appearance of the facility, basic maintenance and day-to-day facility support. The ideal candidate will possess a broad range of general maintenance skills, demonstrate strong attention to detail, and communication.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
  • 2–3 years of experience in facilities maintenance, or a similar handyman/maintenance role is preferred but not required
  • Ability to safely operate hand tools, cleaning tools, and basic maintenance equipment
  • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot issues independently
  • Dependable and punctual, strong communication skills with the ability to interact professionally with co-workers
  • Ability to lift, move, and transport equipment or materials up to 50 lbs
  • Ability to work both indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions
  • Able to work independently and follow instructions

Responsibilities

  • Groundskeeping Support Maintain exterior areas including walkways, parking lots, and landscaped spaces to ensure a clean and professional appearance
  • Keep outdoor areas clean by removing waste, maintain smoking and outdoor break areas, and ensure all exterior areas remain tidy
  • Perform seasonal tasks such as pressure washing, window cleaning, and clearing debris from entryways
  • Report any needs regarding the exterior of the facility such as tree trimming, lighting repairs, landscaping concerns, etc.
  • General Handyman Tasks Assemble furniture, install shelving, mount signage, and complete various repair and facility improvement tasks
  • Perform preventative maintenance to minimize future repair needs and extend the building lifespan
  • Assist with set-up and clean-up for company events
  • Report safety concerns or larger maintenance issues to management
  • Housekeeping Assist with cleaning of common areas such as break rooms, restrooms, hallways, and lobby spaces; sweep, mop, and vacuum common areas, mop and clean restrooms throughout the day.
  • Clean and maintain breakrooms throughout the day; keeping microwaves, refrigerators, tables and counters sanitary.
  • Dust offices, furniture and common areas
  • Wipe down tables, counters and high touch surfaces
  • Empty trash and recycling as needed
  • Supply Stocking Support Assist in keeping office supplies stocked in various areas
  • Report when supplies are running low
  • Restock front office printer paper for copiers
