We currently have an opening for Facilities Cleaner II in our Gowanda Electronics facility, located in Gowanda, NY. This position is critical to the success of our housekeeping operations and will be supporting the cleanliness and maintenance of our facility to ensure a safe and orderly environment. The role reports directly to the Facilities and Maintenance Manager The ideal candidate for this position should be detail-oriented, reliable, and physically capable of performing heavy cleaning tasks. Experience with cleaning chemicals, familiarity with Safety Data Sheets, and a strong commitment to health and safety standards are highly desirable. Details of the Role: The position of Facilities Cleaner II will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and functionality of our facility. During the course of a standard workday, you will be expected to perform routine cleaning, inspections, and maintenance activities, as well as handle special projects as needed.

Requirements

  • Less than high school education required
  • Proven working experience as a cleaner
  • Knowledge of cleaning chemicals and supplies
  • Familiarity with Safety Data Sheets
  • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining a clean environment
  • Ability to follow safety protocols and company guidelines

Responsibilities

  • Clean, stock, and supply designated facility areas (dusting, sweeping, vacuuming, mopping, cleaning ceiling vents, restroom cleaning, etc.)
  • Empty wastebaskets and transport trash and waste to disposal areas
  • Perform and document routine inspection and maintenance activities
  • Carry out heavy cleansing tasks and special projects
  • Follow all health and safety regulations
  • Other duties as assigned
