Purpose: The Environmental Facilities Health & Safety (EHS) Specialist is responsible for implementing and managing EHS compliance for the Orlando Florida facility as well as overseeing the daily maintenance and efficiency of the company facilities. This role will report directly to the Operations Specialist and will ensures compliance with federal, state, and local regulations (with emphasis on Florida EHS requirements), industry standards, and company policies, while fostering a proactive culture of safety and environmental responsibility.

Requirements

  • Working knowledge of EHS, OSHA
  • Familiarity with hazardous materials management, ergonomics, and radiation safety.
  • Strong knowledge of building codes and safety regulations
  • 5+ years of EHS experience in aerospace, defense, satellite communications, or advanced manufacturing.

Nice To Haves

  • CSP, CIH, CFM, FMP or equivalent certification preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Execute site-level EHS programs and ensure compliance with OSHA, EPA, DOT, NFPA, FAA, and state regulations.
  • Conduct audits, inspections, and risk assessments to identify hazards and implement corrective actions.
  • Oversee EHS activities for manufacturing operations, including RF testing, operations, and hazardous materials handling.
  • Collaborate with Operations and Engineering teams to implement safe work practices.
  • Coordinate and deliver EHS training programs for employees and contractors.
  • Lead incident investigations and root cause analyses, and communicate lessons learned.
  • Engage employees in safety committees and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Track and report EHS performance metrics (lagging and leading indicators) to site leadership.
  • Drive reduction in recordable incidents and environmental non-compliance events.
  • Support office moves, repairs, renovations
