7 Cedars Resort is looking for a Facilities Groundskeeper I to join our team! In this role, you’ll help keep our resort grounds clean, safe, and looking their best. The Groundskeeper I maintains grounds. Trim, edge, cut lawn, and prune shrubs and trees. Spray fertilizer or insecticides and remove litter. Plant grass, flowers, trees and shrubs. Clean out drainage ditches and culverts, and shovel snow. Native American hiring preference for qualified candidates.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent required.
• Must possess outstanding interpersonal communications skills to effectively interface with guests and/or team members.
• Strong organization, prioritization and multiple-tasking skills.
• Strong attention to detail, and a commitment to quality.
• Highly adaptable with the ability to adjust to change in a positive manner.
• Ability to apply basic mathematical concepts such as adding, subtracting, multiplying and dividing.

Nice To Haves

• One (1) year gardening experience, either self-employed or with a nursery or private company preferred.
• Supervisory experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Cut lawns using hand mower or power mower.
• Trim and edge around walks, flower beds, and walls; prune shrubs and trees.
• Spray lawn, shrubs, trees with fertilizer or insecticide.
• Clean and sweep up litter and leaves.
• Plant grass, flowers, trees, and shrubs.
• Clean drainage ditches and culverts.
• Shovel snow from walks and driveways.
• Move furniture and paint when necessary.
• Perform miscellaneous duties as assigned.
• Must follow all safety rules and regulations.
• Follow all general and department policies and procedures.
