A Day in the Life At our Tempe Campus, you’ll support mission-critical facilities that enable life-saving innovation and manufacturing. As a Facilities Maintenance Technician III, you’ll play a key role in sustaining a safe, reliable, and inclusive work environment. This role is fully onsite in Tempe. Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on HVAC, electrical, mechanical, and plumbing systems in a cleanroom and production facility Work within RODI Systems Troubleshoot complex systems and collaborate with Engineering, Manufacturing, and Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) teams Respond to urgent building system alarms and prioritize work orders based on safety, production, and compliance needs Maintain and document equipment records using a CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System) Ensure all tasks comply with OSHA, Medtronic EHS standards, FDA regulations, and cGMP guidelines Support facilities projects including equipment upgrades, utility installs, and space reconfigurations Mentor and guide junior technicians as needed Promote a safe, respectful, and inclusive workplace First shift (7:00 AM - 3:30 PM, M-F) with flexibility to occasionally cover other shifts (2nd, 3rd and/or weekends) as needed.

Requirements

  • 4+ years of Facilities/HVAC experience

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with commercial or industrial HVAC, plumbing, mechanical systems, or electrical systems
  • Knowledge and experience working with RODI Systems
  • Ability to read blueprints, technical schematics, and operating manuals
  • Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills
  • Experience in a regulated manufacturing environment (semiconductor, medical device, pharmaceutical, aerospace, etc.)
  • Working knowledge of building automation systems (e.g., Siemens, Honeywell)
  • Familiarity with cleanroom protocols or ISO-classified environments
  • EPA 608 Universal Certification or equivalent
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
  • Commitment to inclusion, collaboration, and continuous learning
  • For Baccalaureate degrees earned outside of the United States, a degree that satisfies the requirements of 8 C.F.R. § 214.2(h)(4)(iii)(A) is required

Responsibilities

  • Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on HVAC, electrical, mechanical, and plumbing systems in a cleanroom and production facility
