We are hiring for a part-time or full-time Facilities Maintenance Technician Position to begin work immediately until the end of the current school year. Candidate Attributes Someone who possesses a strong will to complete all tasks assigned in a timely, professional manner. We need an independent thinker with strong problem-solving skills and excellent communication skills. Must be a dependable self-starter who can work well with other people. Skilled in the use of power and hand tools. Experience in one or more trades (HVAC, electrical, plumbing, mechanical, etc.) is ideal but not required. Strives to consistently exhibit love, joy, peace, and spiritual maturity in their daily work and relationships with others in the school.

Responsibilities

  • Daily duties include, but are not limited to, checking work orders, maintaining school facilities, trash removal, light grounds upkeep, and set up/break down for special events.
  • Perform preventive maintenance and general repairs to building interior and exterior spaces. Request materials as needed for repairs and provide status updates.
  • Advise when a vendor is required for jobs outside technician's scope and/or monitor vendors for the purpose of completing repairs when needed.
  • Perform safety and security inspections of playgrounds, outdoor structures, and school vehicles. Alert facilities team to issues that are found and coordinate repairs.
