About The Position

The Facilities Operations Lead will be responsible for the overall building, grounds maintenance, janitorial service and repair functions for the entire TAS operation.

Requirements

  • Ability to safely operate a forklift
  • Ability to direct others on specific related tasks as needed
  • Ability to communicate effectively with others
  • A Two-Year associate degree.
  • 1–3 years in a supervisory or lead experience.
  • Work performed in a shop environment.
  • Requires normal vision and absence of color blindness
  • Physical effort equal to frequent moving of up to 50lbs materials
  • Regularly required to sit or stand, bend and reach; with occasional climbing of stairs, steps, and ladders
  • The use of PPE is required
  • Ability to stand up to 10 hours a day (with a lunch in between) and up to 6 days a week
  • Ability to work in a non-air-conditioned environment.
  • Steel-toe boots required in Manufacturing Facility

Responsibilities

  • Support the facilities budget by tracking expenses, contributing to forecasts, and helping control costs
  • Lead, train, schedule, and support facilities and maintenance staff, including technicians and contractors
  • Oversee preventative maintenance programs for building systems (HVAC, plumbing, electrical, etc.).
  • Ensure timely response and resolution of maintenance requests and work orders.
  • Ensure compliance with OSHA regulations, building codes, and company safety policies.
  • Conduct routine inspections to identify hazards and ensure a safe working environment.
  • Monitor and manage the facilities budget, including forecasting, cost control, and tracking expenses.
  • Utilize CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System) or other tools to manage and prioritize work orders, assets, and maintenance records.
  • Support and lead facility-related projects, such as office moves, equipment installations, and renovations.
  • Serve as a point of contact during emergencies affecting facility operations, such as power outages, plumbing failures, or severe weather events.
  • Implement practices and initiatives to reduce energy consumption and improve environmental performance.
  • Serve as a liaison between facility operations and other departments; maintain clear, professional communication.
  • Track facility-related supplies and equipment; ensure timely ordering and replenishment of materials.
