About The Position

We are seeking an experienced Facilities Operations Specialist to oversee multiple aspects of our facility management at a government-operated facility. This role requires extensive collaboration with various government and military entities to ensure the operational efficiency and security compliance of the facility.

Requirements

  • High School diploma plus 18 years of general experience required. BS/BA degree will substitute for 4 years' experience. 5 years must be in design/build construction at a government facility.
  • Must have previous experience working with Master planning, DPW, Garrison, Army Corp of Engineers providing statement of work, scopes, drawings, and specs.
  • Expertise in managing large-scale, multi-disciplinary projects involving multiple stakeholders.
  • Experience working both independently and in a team-oriented, collaborative environment is essential.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, SharePoint).
  • Strong oral communication skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment is crucial.
  • Must be able to obtain a U.S. Government Security Clearance.
  • Must be able to obtain US Security Clearance

Responsibilities

  • Develop detailed statements of work, plans, drawings, and specifications for the S3I facility in collaboration with the Corps of Engineers, Garrison, and DPW Master Planning.
  • Ensure all construction projects meet government standards and requirements for design and functionality.
  • Manage the initiation and submission of work orders in coordination with government leads and AvMC engineers.
  • Oversee the execution of new building requirements for computer labs, office spaces, and open bay areas, including scheduling, planning, impacts assessment, funding, and closeout documentation.
  • Collaborate with building custodians to grade and assess the life cycle of building infrastructures.
  • Propose and implement updates and enhancements to extend the usable life of buildings in accordance with DPW/Garrison guidelines.
  • Handle daily maintenance issues and minor repairs through coordination with Redstone base personnel.
  • Work with building custodians to resolve building-related issues and plan for outages and campus shutdowns in cooperation with AvMC and DPW.
  • Conduct security inspections in classified and open storage areas, reporting findings and recommendations to AvMC Engineering for further action.
  • Manage the offloading and installation of weapon systems and shelters, including electrical hookups for operational testing and maintenance.
  • Ability to navigate multiple databases to track, review and update projects.
