About The Position

We are looking for an IFM Facilities Engineering Operations Planner to plan and schedule work activities for maintenance and operations teams. Oversee the day-to-day maintenance operation in a pharmaceutical/life sciences operation in Oceanside, CA . SodexoMagic is the joint venture partnership between NBA Hall of Famer, Earvin “Magic” Johnson and Sodexo. This strategic alliance enables us to deliver creative solutions to our clients along with our local partners throughout the communities we serve. For almost 20 years, we have provided top-level food, facilities management and integrated services to corporations, healthcare facilities, K-12 schools, colleges, universities and aviation lounges .

Requirements

  • Experience of using IT software (SAP, Microsoft office etc.) to manage work and resources
  • Understanding of Health and Safety issues and requirements related to the maintenance
  • Industry gained through experience
  • Ability to take ownership and be accountable for all aspects of the role, ensuring tasks delivery is within timescales, high quality and excellent customer satisfaction
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, using oral, written and electronic media, so that complex information and analysis is clearly understood and/or acted upon by wide range of recipients
  • Experience and practiced skills in dealing with pharmaceutical clients and working in a GMP environment
  • Demonstrate knowledge and understanding of the principles and responsibilities imposed
  • Minimum Education Requirement: Associate's degree or equivalent experience
  • Minimum Functional Experience: 2 years

Responsibilities

  • Manage planning and execution of preventive, planned, and repetitive maintenance activities, including preparation of work packages.
  • Coordinate materials, contractors, and resources required to support maintenance operations.
  • Lead daily and weekly maintenance planning meetings and organize departmental meetings.
  • Oversee work order processes, track maintenance KPIs, and ensure CMMS system efficiency.
  • Ensure compliance with documentation, SOPs, training requirements, permits, and regulatory standards.
  • Oversee the efficient operation and maintenance of all facility electrical, mechanical, structural, and life safety systems.
  • Coordinate maintenance and project activities with internal stakeholders (Facilities, EHS, and operations) to minimize disruption to production.
  • Build strong client partnerships through effective communication, reliability, and operational results.
