Requirements

  • Deep understanding of scheduling methodologies, including the Critical Path Method (CPM).
  • Ability to read and interpret construction documents.
  • Experience in a construction or project management-related field is necessary.

  • Analytical and problem-solving abilities : The ability to anticipate problems and adapt to changes is crucial for a smooth project flow.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain project schedules : Create comprehensive, detailed schedules that outline all phases of a construction or renovation project, from inception to completion.
  • Create and interpret project documents : Review construction drawings, specifications, and project plans to ensure the schedule aligns with the project scope.
  • Identify critical paths and dependencies : Analyze task sequences using the Critical Path Method (CPM) to identify key activities and potential bottlenecks that could delay the project.
  • Monitor progress : Track project progress against the baseline schedule, perform regular updates based on field reports, and analyze variances.
  • Analyze and mitigate delays : Identify potential scheduling risks early, such as material shortages or unexpected weather. Develop mitigation and recovery strategies to keep the project on track.
  • Manage resources : Coordinate and allocate resources, including labor, equipment, and materials, to ensure they are available when needed.
  • Communicate with stakeholders : Provide regular reports and updates to project managers, architects, subcontractors, and clients. Host meetings to align all parties on project timelines.
  • Perform claims analysis : Assist in analyzing and documenting delays for potential claims or disputes.
  • Integrate with other project controls : Coordinate with cost estimation, budget management, and reporting systems to ensure seamless project execution.
