About The Position

Electric Boat is experiencing a period of unprecedented growth, with existing facilities undergoing renovations and new buildings under construction, with more to come. Now is a once in a lifetime opportunity to be a part of a dynamic team responsible for shaping the future of the facility. This position is for a Facilities Project Manager in the Facilities and Real Estate department. The selected candidate will be responsible for implementing project and property management requirements of the real estate and facility needs of Electric Boat at the Quonset Point, Rhode Island facility. Below is a list of some of the responsibilities this individual will be responsible for:

Requirements

  • High School diploma or GED
  • A four-year degree related to project management, construction management, engineering, or other applicable degree -OR- 10+ years of experience related to office space planning, parking planning, and/or project execution.
  • Candidates must possess strong written and verbal communication skills and the ability to work with end users and vendors.
  • Candidates will be expected to become involved in on-going issues through their own initiative, and will be expected to assist in the resolution of emergent issues using independent judgment, ingenuity and creativity.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement an office space spatial plan for Quonset Point facility personnel utilizing EB’s Facilities Management Software program.
  • Manage all short-term and long-term office space seating needs for the facility.
  • Plan and implement short-term and long-term parking solutions based on EB’s hiring plan and future growth needs.
  • Conduct and oversee conceptual development, design, construction, turnover, closeout, and/or outfitting of various office space and parking projects.
  • Provide daily interface with end users, management, and building occupants to ensure office space and parking requirements meet EB’s future staffing needs.
  • Provide capital project management duties in the development of new and/or renovated facilities.
  • Work with Finance on overhead and capital budgets; submit monthly accruals, budget forecasts, and reconciliation of actuals.
  • Prepare and administer request for proposals (RFPs) for various developments and renovations, and for associated equipment.
  • Candidates must possess strong written and verbal communication skills and the ability to work with end users and vendors.
  • Candidates will be expected to become involved in on-going issues through their own initiative, and will be expected to assist in the resolution of emergent issues using independent judgment, ingenuity and creativity.
