Requirements

  • High School Diploma/GED required
  • Minimum 5 years experience in building and /or mechanical trades
  • Valid Driver's License
  • Knowledge of and ability to use personal computers and software utilized by the office.
  • Must regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
  • Requires standing for extended periods of time.
  • Some exposure to cleaning chemicals, requiring attentive and safe utilization.
  • Occasional weekend and/or evening work may be required to meet the operational needs of the Agency.
  • Must successfully complete all required background/pre-employment checks.

Responsibilities

  • Facilities, Grounds, and Asset Management : Plan for, direct and participate in regular maintenance and upkeep of buildings and grounds. Ensure regular maintenance and safe operation of vehicles and equipment. Oversee campus-wide food service, maintenance, and housekeeping operations. Coordinate remodeling, repairs, improvements, and equipment replacements.
  • Staff Leadership, Supervision, and Development: Coach, direct, and support Maintenance Workers, Dining staff, and Housekeepers. Conduct performance evaluations and provide ongoing feedback. Facilitate maintenance team meetings. Ensure staff participation in required in-service training.
  • Budget and Resource Management: Manage budget for necessary remodeling, repairs, improvements and replacements for buildings and equipment. Monitor expenditures to ensure cost-effective use of resources.
  • Maintenance Systems, Documentation, and Inventory Control: Enter data within the maintenance system regarding maintenance and repairs, as well as safety concerns, within the plant, grounds, and vehicles. Maintain inventory of equipment, campus-wide, within maintenance system.
  • Safety, Compliance, and Quality Improvement: Identify and document safety concerns related to facilities, grounds, vehicles, and equipment. Participate in assigned quality improvement as assigned Participate in required in-service trainings.
