Requirements

  • High School Diploma or Graduate Equivalency Diploma (GED)
  • Licensed Delaware Master Electrician, (rate commensurate with experience).
  • 8-10 years directly related experience
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals, complex schematics, blueprints and diagrams. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively to outside vendors and/or co-workers, supervisors, etc.
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure using whole numbers, common fractions, metric measurement and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percentage and to draw and interpret charts and graphs.
  • Associates must provide their own hand tools for performing machine repairs. Tools should include industrial mechanic tools such as sockets, wrenches, pliers, punches, chisels, screwdrivers, dial calipers and micrometer, etc.
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding and to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several variables in production environment situations.

Nice To Haves

  • Ideal candidate will have strong mechanical aptitude and will be a currently licensed Delaware Master Electrician.

Responsibilities

  • Systematically identifies, locates, and corrects problems using well-defined troubleshooting methodology and practices. Must understand the impact of, and the relationship between, various voltages, current, amperage, of electrical circuits and the “downstream” equipment.
  • Repairs, designs and installs pneumatic, hydraulic and/or electrical / electronic systems and components on all types of production equipment and in support of the upkeep/preventative maintenance of site infrastructure.
  • Troubleshoot electrical / electronic problems with production equipment using test equipment such as volt-ohm and amp meters and pc-based software.
  • Must have a proficient knowledge of all shop equipment and power tools and be able to work with machinist, as needed, to complete various assignments.
  • Understand and troubleshoot PLC, variable frequency drives, and other logic-controlling systems.
  • Must understand PLC programming and able to assist in troubleshooting and correcting problems relative to automated equipment and production equipment control systems.
  • Must understand and be able to assist facilities team members with pneumatic, hydraulic, general plumbing/pipefitting repairs as needed. Must follow all site Standard Operating procedures and in line with current OSHA requirements.
  • Will be required to do other plant maintenance as necessary such as preventive maintenance and systems/site maintenance.
  • Associate will be innovative, knowledgeable and intensely committed to ensure that every product and service we supply conforms to FDA and Quality System Regulations as well as ISO 13485/MDD Standards.
  • Maintains company-required performance and maintenance records for identified equipment.
  • Focus on minimizing unplanned downtime in pursuit of lean manufacturing objectives. Including but not limited to set-up/changeover reduction, SMED, TPM, OEE, Poke-a-Yoke, etc.
