About The Position

Summary: The Facilities Technician will help keep the facility in clean and orderly condition by handling general building maintenance.

Requirements

• Strong mechanical aptitude
• Plumbing knowledge to address leaks, clogs or drainage problems
• Electrical wiring ability
• Carpentry knowledge to handle basic repairs
• Interpersonal skills (verbal and written) to interact with employees
• Proficient in email and online applications
• Ability to take speak/read/write English
• Ability to adhere to the company's attendance policy, including regular and punctual attendance
• High school diploma or equivalent combination of education and experience
• 3+ years previous experience performing carpentry, drywall repair, etc…
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs unassisted
• Must be able to frequently stand, bend, use hands to climb or balance, handle or feel, and talk or hear, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl or walk
• Ability to occasionally work in hot or cold conditions

Nice To Haves

• Prior experience with or knowledge of LEED grade facilities preferred
• Previous maintenance experience a plus

Responsibilities

• Minor electrical repairs
• Drywall patching
• Painting (touch ups and small jobs)
• Cleaning (running floor cleaners, helping maintenance staff where needed)
• General grounds maintenance
• Troubleshooting and fixing equipment / fixtures in manufacturing and office areas
• Ensures that security procedures are always adhered to
• Ensures all safety precautions are followed while performing work
• Other related duties as needed or assigned
