About The Position

Dayton-Granger, Inc. (DG) is seeking a Part-Time Facilities Cleaner (Second Shift) to help maintain a clean, safe, and professional environment within our aerospace manufacturing facility. This role is responsible for afternoon cleaning and facility upkeep to ensure hallways, restrooms, common areas, and production-adjacent spaces are properly maintained and ready for the next business day. This position is well-suited for a reliable, detail-oriented professional who is passionate about maintaining clean, well-kept facility, follows established procedures, and works well independently in a professional environment.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience performing routine cleaning in a commercial or institutional facility
  • Working knowledge of cleaning chemicals and safe handling practices
  • Experience using standard custodial equipment (e.g., vacuums, floor scrubbers, buffers)
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to work independently and efficiently
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physical tasks such as standing, bending, lifting, and walking for extended periods
  • Professional communication skills in English (verbal and written)
  • Must be able to work Monday–Friday, 2:30 PM – 6:00 PM

Responsibilities

  • Clean, sanitize, and maintain restrooms, offices, breakrooms, conference rooms, hallways, lobbies, and other assigned areas
  • Ensure all areas are consistently clean, organized, and stocked with required supplies
  • Empty trash and recycling receptacles and transport waste to designated disposal areas
  • Sweep, mop, vacuum, and maintain floors according to facility standards
  • Maintain cleanliness around building entrances, walkways, and exterior common areas
  • Restock paper products, soap, and other consumable supplies
  • Complete routine cleaning and maintenance request tickets accurately and on time
  • Perform light maintenance tasks such as replacing light bulbs or minor repairs when needed
  • Identify and report facility issues, safety concerns, or maintenance needs to the Facility Engineer Manager
  • Interact professionally with employees and respond to facility-related needs with a customer-service mindset
  • Follow all safety procedures, including proper use of cleaning chemicals and PPE
  • Perform additional custodial or facility-support tasks as assigned
