The Engineer II is responsible for operating and maintaining all the Facilities electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems. In addition, the Engineer II is responsible for maintaining selected support equipment and systems unique to a hospital environment. The Engineer II is also responsible for maintaining the hospital vehicles, the Grounds Irrigation System, and for the repair of sidewalks and parking lots, the interior building system, including door hardware, furniture, casework, floors, walls, and ceilings. This position may require same day travel to our other clinic locations based on needs of the department. These locations are: East Wenatchee, Omak, Tonasket, Brewster, Winthrop, Moses Lake, Ephrata, and Royal City. Position Reports To: Engineering Supervisor

Requirements

  • High School or GED.
  • Training in a Technical Training Program, industry or Armed Forces with emphasis in the mechanical, electrical, carpentry, painting or metalworking trades in a hospital environment performing facility maintenance duties, or two years on the job training and experience with progressive responsibility in hospital maintenance.
  • Ability to read and interpret mechanical, electrical and shop drawings, writing diagrams and schematics.
  • Ability to use math to determine electrical, mechanical and physical equations.
  • Basic knowledge of Steam Generation and Distribution Systems, HVAC Systems, Plumbing Systems, Electrical Distribution Systems and building construction.
  • Must possess basic computer skills related to Windows navigation, mouse usage, keyboarding, email communication and password management.

  • HVAC Certificate and/or Building Operator Certificate.

Responsibilities

  • Inspects facility equipment and systems.
  • Repairs mechanical devices and systems.
  • Repairs electrical and electronic devices, equipment and systems.
  • Performs preventative maintenance on facility and support equipment.
  • Services and repairs plumbing systems and equipment.
  • Minor repairs nurse call and code blue stations and interfaces connections.
  • Functionally tests the Emergency Electrical System.
  • Installs electrical, hydraulic and mechanical finish hardware.
  • Install locks and cuts keys. Documents keys distribution per established key control procedure.
  • Assembles and does minor repairs to concrete, block and drywall systems.
  • Repairs and installs resilient flooring and suspended ceiling systems.
  • Repairs and fabricates ferrous and non-ferrous components and assemblies.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
