About The Position

Essential Duties and Responsibilities Perform skilled building maintenance and repairs, including carpentry, plumbing, painting, drywall work, flooring repairs, and door/window maintenance. Conduct preventive maintenance and minor repairs on Legends Global equipment, fixtures, and machinery. Support the Director of Operations in planning, coordinating, and executing facility‑wide maintenance and capital improvement projects, including internal initiatives. Assist the Director with budgeting, procurement, and inventory management to support operational needs. Coordinates shutdown and start-ups of utilities and equipment when conditions require it. Help develop, organize, and prioritize departmental task lists while training and mentoring GMT team members. Perform routine and preventive maintenance on HVAC systems and lighting control systems. Complete assigned work orders and ensure all documentation is accurate, thorough, and submitted in a timely manner. Perform other duties as assigned to support facility operations. Event Support Responsibilities Assist with event setups, services, and strikes for arena, exhibit hall and banquet spaces. Install temporary electrical services for front-of-house and back-of-house areas. Install and support audio/visual reinforcement equipment to meet event requirements. Maintain and repair event-related equipment such as seating, carts, tables, and lifts. Operate motorized equipment including Genie lifts, forklifts, plows, and similar machinery. Document event services and enter required information into the maintenance system. Interact professionally with clients and the public while communicating facility policies and technical requirements. Additional event-related tasks may be assigned as needed. Qualifications Education and/or Experience Minimum five years of skilled maintenance experience. Strong knowledge of tools, materials, and equipment used in general maintenance trades. High School diploma or equivalent required. OSHA 10 required, OSHA 30 preferred Skills & Abilities Effective verbal and written communication skills; basic computer proficiency. Ability to read and work from CAD drawings, blueprints, and electrical service documentation. Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills related to facility and mechanical systems. Certificates, Licenses, Registrations Valid Ohio driver’s license required. Physical Requirements Ability to lift up to 75 lbs. Ability to operate lifts to 80 feet and work from ladders or scaffolding. Work Environment Requires evening, weekend, holiday, and mandatory overtime work as needed. Work may occur indoors or outdoors on any Legends Global property. Must maintain a professional appearance and adhere to Legends Global uniform standards.

Requirements

  • Minimum five years of skilled maintenance experience.
  • Strong knowledge of tools, materials, and equipment used in general maintenance trades.
  • High School diploma or equivalent required.
  • OSHA 10 required
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills; basic computer proficiency.
  • Ability to read and work from CAD drawings, blueprints, and electrical service documentation.
  • Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills related to facility and mechanical systems.
  • Valid Ohio driver’s license required.
