Interacts with different levels of inter-organizational personnel, vendors, and consultants. Strong customer interaction skills, ability to identify and solve problems independently and computer literacy are critical for success. Working in a team environment is critical and providing direction to others with different cultural and technical backgrounds is necessary for success. This position directly reports to the Facility Operations and Planning Manager. The position is located in DeSoto and is not a remote position.

Requirements

  • 6+ years of experience in general maintenance or facility maintenance
  • Strong customer service skills, self-motivated, proactive, detail oriented, and a team player
  • Ability to stay organized and able to handle competing priorities
  • Good working knowledge and understanding of Microsoft Office software (Word, Excel, Teams, Outlook, etc.)
  • Ability to maintain and manage communication with maintenance technicians and team leads to ensure timely completion of work orders
  • Strong organizational and management skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Nice To Haves

  • Working knowledge of Computerized Maintenance Management Software (CMMS) systems
  • Working knowledge of COUPA - payment portal experience
  • General knowledge of maintenance processes and methods
  • Identify, specify, source and order supplies and equipment
  • Create SOPs for critical and recurring jobs
  • Lead the planning/scheduling of major shutdowns and provide support and coordination during events
  • AA degree in General Education

Responsibilities

  • Process work order assignments
  • Work closely with all departments to prioritize work schedules and coordination of all maintenance activities
  • Assist with coordinating supplies and materials for maintenance activities
  • Preventative maintenance system database entry, update, and upkeep
  • Create purchase requisitions and purchase orders
  • Communicate effectively and schedule work with internal customers (Department Managers, Supervisors, and Team Leads) as well as outside vendors and contractors
  • Provide clerical support for maintenance staff
  • Develop annual, monthly, and weekly maintenance work order and preventive maintenance reports
  • Prepare maintenance customer feedback survey reports
  • Adheres to established industry and enterprise standards, policies and practices relating to safety, quality, schedule, cost, accounting, purchasing and regulatory compliance in performing assigned duties
  • Participate in the implementation of Continuous Improvements (CI) projects, space planning projects and capital projects
  • Conducts and completes on-the-job training and technical self-study programs for career development
  • Work with Maintenance Techs and Engineers to optimize preventative maintenance procedures and document maintenance activities
  • Ensure all labor hours, materials, and necessary notes or procedural changes are accurately recorded and work is closed in a timely manner
  • Maintain a safe work environment by documenting and correcting potential safety issues and complying with all safety regulations
