About The Position

This position plays a vital role in ensuring university facilities are clean, safe, functional, and event-ready to support a daily work environment, conferences, workshops, banquets, academic functions, and special events. The incumbent oversees and coordinates building maintenance; provides management oversight for repairs, renovation, and construction projects, identifies facility related issues and recommends solutions; and provides guidance and supervision for staff. This position will be responsible for providing oversight and ensuring that all property belonging to the Division of Outreach and Continuing Education is properly accounted for and this includes but not limited to furniture, electronics, and vehicles owned by the Division of Outreach and Continuing Education. This position will also supervise the Transportation Coordinator, whose primary responsibilities include overseeing the fleet of vehicles used for rentals and shuttle services. Additionally, this role is responsible for ensuring that all transportation operations are conducted safely, efficiently, and professionally, as well as providing oversight for the maintenance and overall upkeep of the fleet. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree is required
  • minimum of 6 years experience in facility management or a related field
  • excellent organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills
  • ability to work a flexible schedule which could include early mornings, nights, and weekends
  • ability to lift heavy objects (30 lbs or more)
