About The Position

Responsible for performing a variety of general, mechanical, and preventative maintenance duties as well as inspections, servicing, and repair. Maintaining a safe and clean work environment. Providing daytime support to environmental services when necessary to maintain a safe and clean work environment. May support in delivery of supplies as needed.

Requirements

  • The individual must be able to work the hours specified.
  • To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential job function satisfactorily including having visual acuity adequate to perform position duties and the ability to communicate effectively with others, hear, understand and distinguish speech and other sounds.
  • High School or GED Equivalent ; or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience required.

Responsibilities

  • Carry out routine and specific assignments.
  • Patient services adjusting thermostats, minor repairs to plumbing system, assemble, move and install furniture, fixtures, and equipment; repair desks, files, cabinets, chairs, and other furniture.
  • Demonstrate ability to complete minor electrical/mechanical equipment repairs.
  • Performs and Records PM checks of equipment if required.
  • Supports a clean/neat environment in working area. These areas may include, but not be limited to: offices, cubicles, lounges, hallways, bathrooms, elevators, stairwells, and lobby areas following spills or accidents that occur during the day.
  • Dispose of all trash in an appropriate manner including the pickup, boxing, shredding, and maintaining general cleanliness of trash receptacles when necessary.
  • Receives and delivers supplies to designated departments within the facility
  • Follows and keeps updated of all applicable city, state, and federal codes for fire and safety.
  • Maintains a daily log of activities as directed when required.
  • Participates in all cleaning activities necessary in case of a spill during normal working hours including monitoring the restrooms to ensure they are clean and functional stocked with supplies. These may include, but not be limited to: dusting, washing, drying, mopping, vacuuming, carpet extraction, furniture extraction, moving furniture, trash receptacles and trash removal or documents to be shredded.
