About The Position

The Facility Technician is responsible for maintaining a clean, organized, and safe facility while supporting maintenance and production operations. This position plays a key role in organizing and inventorying parts, performing preventative and reactive maintenance, and assembling equipment or components for production use.

Requirements

  • Prior experience in maintenance, facility support, or inventory control preferred.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Basic mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn preventative maintenance procedures.
  • Ability to use inventory systems or spreadsheets for tracking parts and materials.
  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspond professionally.
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rates, ratios, and percentages.
  • Ability to apply common-sense understanding to carry out detailed written and oral instructions. Ability to troubleshoot problems involving several variables in standardized situations.

Nice To Haves

  • 1–2 years of experience in a maintenance, custodial, or warehouse environment preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized facility, including production, maintenance, and common areas.
  • Perform preventative maintenance tasks as assigned, following established schedules and work orders.
  • Complete reactive maintenance work orders and repairs in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Calibrates and certifies critical equipment using established practices and procedures.
  • Organize, label, and inventory maintenance and production parts; ensure proper storage and tracking of tools, supplies, and spare components.
  • Assist in assembling and preparing equipment or components received for production.
  • Maintain records of maintenance activities, parts usage, and equipment history in the computerized maintenance management system (CMMS).
  • Assist in identifying parts and materials needed for maintenance and repair tasks; communicate inventory needs or shortages to the Facility Supervisor.
  • Operate and maintain power equipment and hand tools, including scrubbers, buffers, extractors, and other maintenance tools.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives focused on facility upkeep, efficiency, and safety.
  • Follow all company policies, safety standards, and environmental procedures.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
