As an Operations Quality Engineer I, you will be working hands on with cross functional teams in a fast-paced environment with plenty of challenging opportunities supporting production. You will be working directly with our manufacturing processes, products, first article inspections, creating/maintaining work/inspection instructions, and preparing for audits. This position supports a manufacturing effort that requires the ability to operate in a challenging and dynamic environment where successful quality execution is a key contributor to overall success. Your knowledge and experience will be valued and contribute to furthering the success of Raytheon to deliver quality product to our customers. This position is based in Tucson, AZ and requires onsite presence working a 1st shift role to support the factory.

Requirements

  • Typically requires a University Degree or equivalent experience and less than 2 years prior relevant experience.
  • The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required prior to start date.
  • U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.
  • The ability to obtain and maintain an ATF (Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives) clearance.

Nice To Haves

  • University Degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM).
  • Existing DoD Secret Clearance.
  • Experience with AS9100 and/or ISO 9001 quality management systems.
  • Knowledge of SAP, Business Warehouse, Root Cause and Corrective Action Process.
  • Competency and experience in a relevant technical discipline with understanding of engineering principles and design analysis techniques.
  • Experience in supporting design and/or manufacturing process.

Responsibilities

  • Identify and manage risk in the manufacturing process.
  • Support production, first article inspections, and prepare for audits.
  • Create/maintain work/inspection instructions.
  • Verify product and process compliance with respect to contractual, technical, industry, AS9100 Quality Management System (QMS) requirements and internal policies.
  • Regularly interface with DCMA.
  • Attend daily status meetings with internal stakeholders to manage issues, and weekly meetings to help reduce cost of poor quality.
  • Support strategic efforts that meet the quality department goals.
  • Support failure analysis, Root Cause and Corrective Action (RCCA) investigations, including identifying non-conformances, providing solutions, tracking issues to closure.
