About The Position

The Faculty Affairs Administrator in the Office of Faculty Affairs is responsible for administering and maintaining faculty data and records, including related software and database systems. Provides administrative support to the Office of Faculty Affairs including faculty recruitment, hiring, appointment, reappointment, promotion, tenure, leave, sabbatical, and retirement, as well as faculty career development, faculty assessment, and faculty awards and recognition. Provides logistical support for events in the Office of Faculty Affairs, including training and recognition events and supervise student workers.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in a related area
  • 2+ years Experience in working in human resources, faculty affairs or higher education, supervision, data management, managing budgets or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Excellent organization, interpersonal, and communication skills, both verbal and in writing.
  • Ability to interact with a diverse population at all levels.
  • Must be a self-starter and able to exercise discretion and sound judgment with confidential and sensitive information.
  • Strong proficiency with word processing, spreadsheet, presentation, and database software.
  • Must be professional, detail oriented and operate with an analytical and process improvement mindset.
  • Must have 2+ years experience working with data and records systems (Microsoft Excel, Peoplesync, Workday, Interfolio, Microsoft Access, or equivalent).

Nice To Haves

  • 2+ years Experience in a large, highly selective college or university or in a non-profit organization and working with Faculty.
  • Experience working in a high-throughput data environment.
  • Experience working with advanced HR workflow systems software (Atlassian Jira, Salesforce, Tableau).
