The University of Minnesota's Department of Pediatrics is seeking a Pediatric General Cardiologist for a full-time faculty role in the Division of Pediatric Cardiology. The position's rank-Assistant Professor, Associate Professor, or Professor-depends on qualifications. Position Highlights: The emphasis of the work will focus on pediatric general cardiology. The candidate will be responsible for pediatric general cardiology care in both the inpatient and outpatient settings. It is expected that the candidate will be responsible for some outreach clinics. Additional responsibilities will include teaching medical students, residents, and fellows; clinical practice through UMPhysicians; and participating in service activities on behalf of the department, the medical school, and your profession. The candidate will be a part of a distinguished team at the Pediatric Heart Center and the University of Minnesota Masonic Children's Hospital. Academic time will be used to pursue scholarly work in the candidate's area of specialty experience. Faculty will be active in their national organizations and foster an academic environment for medical students, residents, and faculty. Additional responsibilities will be considered in non-invasive imaging if time, skill and interest are present. The Heart Center at M Health Fairview Masonic Children's Hospital brings help and hope to pediatric heart patients. We are saving lives through innovation- leading the nation in developing new treatment methods for kids of all ages. Over the last three years, the Heart Center has demonstrated some of the best success rates of pediatric heart programs in the country.
