This role will also be tasked with general-purpose participation in manufacturing day-to-day activities.

Requirements

  • 3 to 4 years’ experience as a production test technician, Product tester, or similar role
  • Knowledge of testing equipment maintenance and storage procedures
  • Ability to read and properly interpret engineering drawings, specifications, schematics and wiring diagrams
  • Ability to record data in an organized manner and maintain a lab notebook
  • Excellent organization skill and ability to manage multiple tasks
  • Enjoys hands-on work, careful, and detail-oriented
  • Ability to work unsupervised and under pressure
  • Excellent interpersonal and teamwork skills
  • Good oral and written communication skills
  • Required Technical Skills Proficiency with electronics soldering and line wiring
  • Mechanical ability to operate test equipment (DMM) and manual dexterity to effectively use hand tools (tweezers, screw/bolt drivers, torque wrenches) while performing PM and CM tasks
  • Experience using vision inspection equipment (microscope) and measurement instruments (calipers, etc.)
  • Computer skills to accessing data in database system, test report generation and for controlling automatic test equipment.
  • Working knowledge of Windows computers and Office applications: Outlook, Word & Excel
  • Practical understanding of the basic laws of electricity (Ohm’s Law, etc.) and electric safety standards (LOTO, etc.)
  • Familiar with safety ESD standards for electronic devices

Nice To Haves

  • Technical/associated degree is preferred
  • Knowledge of electronic circuit analysis and repair
  • Knowledge and experience using basic statistics to analyze process control outputs from a variety of sources
  • Knowledge and familiarity with IPC610 and ICP600 standard
  • Knowledge and familiarity with IPC7711/21 rework standard (certification is a plus)

Responsibilities

  • Failure Analysis & Manufacturing Support Support the Engineering team at iOC Manufacturing with PCBA Failure Analysis activities for all iRhythm products.
  • Perform on-time data extraction using specialized processes, hardware, and equipment as defined in WRK documentation.
  • Operate automated test equipment using pre-programmed test routines for functional PCBA verification.
  • Conduct test builds under operational conditions to validate test equipment, fixtures, and tooling.
  • Assist with qualification and validation of fixtures, equipment, and tooling used in manufacturing and failure analysis.
  • Perform basic Incoming Quality Control (IQC) activities, including visual inspection of defective devices.
  • Material Control & Inventory Management Control and track inventory entering the Failure Analysis laboratory, including collection of materials with manufacturing defects.
  • Assign material disposition based on laboratory DOP (Department Operating Procedures).
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date failure analysis log files documenting material status, analysis scope, and disposition.
  • Perform inventory transactions in QAD in accordance with approved DOP procedures.
  • Manage disposition of manufacturing scrap material from production lines.
  • Ensure proper handling and disposal of recyclable materials following EH&S procedures.
  • Plan and coordinate procurement of materials, tools, and supplies required for failure analysis and troubleshooting activities.
  • Laboratory Operations & Safety Maintain laboratory equipment and instruments to ensure proper functionality and availability.
  • Ensure laboratory organization, cleanliness, and compliance with safety and quality standards.
  • Maintain a safe, clean, and compliant working environment in accordance with iRhythm EH&S and Quality System requirements.
  • Training, Collaboration & Compliance Train production personnel on laboratory standards and basic activities such as rework, sorting, and flag reset procedures.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure compliance with environmental, EH&S, and regulatory requirements.
  • Partner with Manufacturing, Quality, and Engineering teams to support continuous improvement initiatives and corrective actions.
  • Reporting & Metrics Perform statistical data logging and reporting to track, trend, and communicate department KPIs.
  • Provide daily status updates and feedback to the Failure Analysis team regarding analysis progress and findings.
