About The Position

We are seeking a highly capable Family Assistant to support a UHNW family in Houston, Texas. This is a trusted, high-responsibility role for someone who thrives in a polished, high-standard environment, exercises excellent judgment, and takes pride in maintaining a home to an exceptional level. The ideal candidate is precise, discreet, and detail-oriented, with the ability to move fluidly between light childcare support and maintaining a consistently guest-ready household. This role is best suited for someone who understands high-end environments, handles valuable items with care, and can anticipate needs without constant direction. The Family Assistant will take initiative while remaining collaborative and adaptable, with the opportunity to grow with the role as responsibilities evolve over time. Relocation support is available for the right candidate.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in private households, estate support, or UHNW environments
• Valid driver’s license
• Excellent references
• Ability to pass a background check
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
• High standards, attention to detail, and preventive approach to household management
• Excellent references confirming discretion, reliability, and professionalism

Responsibilities

• Maintain the main/public areas of the home in a consistently guest-ready, show-quality condition
• Perform light housekeeping, including dusting fine furnishings, crystal, tables, curtains, and surfaces
• Keep household spaces orderly, organized, and visually polished throughout the week
• Properly care for fresh flower arrangements and decorative elements with strong attention to detail
• Receive packages and manage household deliveries
• Support general household organization and upkeep
• Oversee and manage vendors as needed
• Provide light childcare support for one child (age 3), stepping in flexibly during entertaining, evenings, or busy periods
• Handle high-value items, furnishings, and clothing with exceptional care and discretion
