About The Position
Tower Behavioral Health is a state-of-the-art behavioral health hospital located in Reading, Pennsylvania. We provide comprehensive inpatient psychiatric care for adults and adolescents, offering a safe, therapeutic environment where patients receive individualized treatment plans. We are seeking a skilled Family Medicine Nurse Practitioner (FNP-C) to join our multidisciplinary team in a part-time weekend role . In this position, you will provide medical evaluations and treatment for patients across all age groups, working under the supervision of the Medical Director and in collaboration with clinical staff. Requirements
- Master’s degree in Nursing and completion of a Nurse Practitioner program required.
- Current Family Nurse Practitioner Certification (FNP-C) required.
- Current Nurse Practitioner license and DEA certification (as required by state regulations).
- Minimum of one year of RN experience and clinical experience with diverse patient populations.
- Strong knowledge of therapeutic boundaries, crisis management, and patient-centered care principles.
Nice To Haves
- Experience in inpatient behavioral health or working with psychiatric patient populations.
Responsibilities
- Diagnose and treat acute, episodic, or chronic illnesses independently or as part of a healthcare team.
- Conduct comprehensive physical and psychiatric health assessments and develop individualized care plans.
- Participate in the formulation of patient treatment plans and encourage family involvement in care.
- Order, perform, and interpret diagnostic tests such as lab work and imaging; prescribe medications as appropriate.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of evaluations and treatments in accordance with facility guidelines.
- Provide health education and promote disease prevention strategies.
- Ensure compliance with legal requirements, hospital policies, and regulatory standards.
- Participate in scheduled on-call responsibilities as directed by medical staff.
