About The Position

The Immigrant and Refugee Community Organization (IRCO) is a non-profit organization established in 1976 to serve immigrants, refugees, and the broader community in Portland, Oregon. Our mission is to welcome, serve and empower refugees, immigrants and people across cultures and generations to reach their full potential. Find out more at www.irco.org. The goal of the Family Resource Navigator / Data Support and Adult Engagement Specialist program is to support families in achieving economic security, with a focus on improving housing stability, by reducing barriers in navigating systems. By focusing efforts and resources at regional SUN Community School hubs this program will create a “front door” to reach the most impacted families (families living with low incomes, those who are unstably housed, families of color, and students with chronic absenteeism). The program aims to build skills and connections so that families know how to access the resources they need in the future, while providing a more direct link to immediate needs like rental assistance to support families at risk of homelessness. This role will support two key aspects of the FRN program - Data Entry and Adult engagement. This position will support the existing FRN team in entering new data from program participants into WellSky, in addition to cleaning up errors in the existing data that has been entered. This position will support the existing FRN team in planning and hosting adult engagement events such as educational workshops, resource fairs and community advocacy events.
