As a Farmer 2 supporting Knott Dairy for the department of Animal Sciences, you will complete tasks involving care and feeding of livestock, along with maintenance and upkeep of animal housing facilities and pastures. This involves safely operating and maintaining farm equipment such as tractors, trucks, skid steers, loaders, forage choppers, bedding blowers, and other farm implements. You will assist in facilities maintenance by building and or maintaining fencing, facilities, pens, feeding and hauling devices, and ensuring grounds are kept clean. In this role, you may lead or supervise lower level staff when needed. Additional Information: This is a full time (100% FTE), permanent position. This position is overtime eligible. Monthly Salary: $3,336 to $4,428 | Range 37 Steps A-M | Successful candidates are typically hired at the beginning of the salary range and receive scheduled salary increment increases in accordance with WAC 357-28. In accordance with RCW 49.58.110, the above salary reflects the full salary range for this position. Individual placement within the range is based on the candidate’s current experience, education, skills, and abilities related to the position.
