About The Position

At CMCS (Cardinal McCloskey Community Services), our mission is to protect, empower and promote independence for at-risk children and families and those with developmental disabilities through quality community based services. T he Administrative Director is responsible for all aspects of program management and implementation for the two family childcare networks (EHS funded and DOE funded) including compliance, audits, supervision, professional development, provider recruitment, family services, educational requirements and enrollment. These responsibilities include the adm inistration, coordination and supervision of all program components, such as the educational component, including school readiness goals identification and cur riculum development, preventative health and social services, nutrition, staff development, community outreach, parent involvement in program operation, monitoring recruitment and enrollment of students, fiscal management and accountability, contract compl iance, office and facilities management. The Administrative Director will ensure that the Network(s) follow all contracted obligations and licensing standards set forth by New York City Departments of Education and Health, Office of Head Start as well as C ardinal McCloskey Community Services. The Administrator will follow the regulations of all licensing and regulatory agencies.

Requirements

  • MA/MS Degree ECE, MSW, or related field with experience managing a Family Childcare Network
  • Minimum 7 years of experience in Early Childhood
  • Have knowledge and experience in the philosophy and practices of Family Child Care program administration, supervision including monitoring and evaluation, Head Start, Universal Pre- Kindergarten, CACFP, Early Childhood Education, developmental appropriate practices
  • Experience with ACF/DOE/DOHMH/UPK
  • Have experience in collaborating with parents and families
  • Daily access to reliable transportation to Bronx, NY.
  • Flexible with assigned work location(s).
  • Ability to pass and maintain acceptable record related to the mandated criminal background check process.
