About The Position

At SkySafe, we are expanding our presence within the federal government and looking for a dynamic and results-driven Federal Sales Representative to help lead that effort. This role is responsible for driving new business and expanding SkySafe’s footprint across federal agencies by identifying opportunities, building strong relationships, and navigating the federal procurement landscape.The ideal candidate has deep experience selling into the federal market, understands the complexities of government contracting, and brings a strong network within defense, civilian, and intelligence agencies. This individual will play a critical role in bringing SkySafe’s cutting-edge drone detection and airspace intelligence technology to federal organizations responsible for national security, public safety, and infrastructure protection.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of successful sales experience selling into the U.S. federal government market, preferably within a startup or fast-growing company
  • Proven track record of closing deals with federal agencies, ideally in security, defense, or technology sectors
  • Deep understanding of federal procurement processes, including regulations and common contract vehicles
  • Established network within federal agencies, particularly across defense, civilian, or intelligence communities
  • Motivation: Self-starter with a strong sense of urgency and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills with the ability to influence senior stakeholders
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, government, technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).

Responsibilities

  • Sales Strategy: Develop and execute a comprehensive federal sales strategy to achieve and exceed revenue targets
  • Business Development: Identify and pursue new business opportunities within federal agencies, including defense, civilian, and intelligence sectors
  • Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers, contracting officers, and influencers within federal agencies
  • Contracting: Navigate the federal procurement process, including GSAschedules, IDIQs, BPAs, and other contract vehicles to secure new business
  • Market Research: Stay informed about industry trends, competitive landscape, and emerging opportunities within the federal market
  • Collaboration: Work closely with internal teams, including product, marketing, and customer success, to tailor solutions that meet the specific needs of federal clients
  • Reporting: Provide regular updates on sales activities, pipeline development, and forecasting to the executive team
