About The Position

Belstra Milling Co. is a family-owned agricultural business based in DeMotte, IN. We are searching for an individual to work in our Feed Manufacturing department at our DeMotte location. Belstra thrives on making quality feed for livestock producers of all sizes. Requirements

  • Proven experience working in plant operations required
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office applications and computer technology

  • Strong leadership and managerial attributes to assure tasks are completed correctly and timely while managing employees
  • Ability to regularly lift 60-pounds
  • Climb ladders and stairs and work at heights with good body balance
  • Work near moving mechanical parts
  • Ability to work in dusty, cold, hot, humid, noisy environment
  • Withstand exposure to seasonal weather conditions
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced production environment
  • This position requires the ability to walk, kneel, bend, climb, etc.

  • Previous manufacturing and leadership experience preferred

Responsibilities

  • Troubleshoot production issues and develop solutions
  • Knowledgeable and confident in the manufacturing process with ability to fill in gaps when needed
  • Coordinate with Production Planner and Scheduler to manufacture orders on time
  • Downrange planning to keep production areas running with minimal downtime
  • Ensure company policies, procedures, and all safety guidelines are being followed by all employees
  • Schedule employee time off and guarantee all areas are covered
  • Work with Recruiting Manager during interviews
  • Evaluate employees and give suggestions for improvement – employee leadership
