Responsibilities include cleaning and maintaining operational areas of the mill, including restrooms and common areas, upkeep of the grounds and landscaping around the mill, and assist with receiving ingredients when needed while maintaining a safe work environment and adhering to Tyson policies and procedures. This position pays $17.55/hr with a $1.00 shift increase for the 2nd Shift. No bonus. Typical schedule is Monday- Friday 10:00 am-6:00pm. Some weekends/holidays are expected depending on company needs.

Requirements

Must have at least 6 months operator experience with various types of power industrial vehicles.
181 days wait period from last termination date.
3X rule (candidates cannot have worked for Tyson 3X before).

Responsibilities

Sweep and clean assigned areas of the mill and sign off when completed
Help and assist with unloading ingredients from rail cars/trucks
Clean up feed spills
Perform ground keeping duties including using landscaping equipment such as mowers and trimmers.
Use and maintain air-driver equipment like blow guns to assist in cleaning activities
Use high pressure water hoses to wash down and clean areas of the feed mill
Use PIT to move pallets of ingredients, etc.
Wear required proper PPE such as ear protection, safety vest, etc.
Able to work in hot, dry, dusty, wet and cold environments. Heavy exposure to ingredient dust and inclement weather.
Willing to be confined space certified and LOTO certified
Able to work holidays, weekends, and flexible hours as required based on demand scheduling
Able to work in elevated areas and follow all safety procedures
Able to sign and abide by the Company Biosecurity Guidelines including an agreement to avoid any avian species
Maintain good housekeeping including service areas
Communicate to all levels of Operations including Customers and Vendors both orally and in writing where required
Follow and Operate within all Tyson Health and Safety protocols
Able to Lift up to 60 lbs. and/or up to 100 lbs. with assistance
Stand, Sit, Walk, Climb Ladder/Stairs with the ability to sustain physical activity throughout the day.
Able to read and complete sign off sheet paperwork
Complete all other tasks assigned by management.
Must be able to pass forklift certification training.
