Requirements
- A pattern of initiative and leadership.
- 3-5 years supervisory experience.
- An experienced understanding of milling and mechanical systems.
- Able to meet biosecurity guidelines. Cannot own or raise any type of pet birds, any variety of wild or domestic poultry or hogs.
- Able to twist/stoop/bend/squat/lift/carry/reach while handling feed ingredients or equipment

Nice To Haves
- A bachelor’s degree in operational management, agriculture, or related fields
- Bilingual English/Spanish.
- Field work experience in mill operations
Responsibilities
- Oversee all daily feed mill activities including batching, grinding, pelleting, mixing, loadout, and maintenance – operating 24 hours a day, 5 days a week.
- Lead and enforce all safety programs, policies, and OSHA/industry regulations.
- Collaborate with nutrition, live production, and veterinary teams to address feed‑related performance issues.
- Foster a positive, accountable, and safety‑driven work culture.
- Coordinate preventive maintenance programs to ensure minimal downtime.
- Troubleshoot equipment issues and collaborate with maintenance teams and vendors.
- Contribute to capital planning and equipment upgrades.
- Manage mill team (supervisor, clerk, operators, drivers) to oversee the management of ingredient inventory, ordering, and vendor relationships.
- Oversee DOT compliant fleet, operated by both company and contract drivers
- Track operating costs and implement efficiency improvements.
