About The Position

Day in the life Join our Auburn, AL team as a Ferrous Metals Manufacturing Technician II and help keep our iron and steel production running at peak performance. From startup to shutdown, you will be the guardian of quality, safety, and uptime across our ferrous manufacturing lines. What your shift looks like You begin by reviewing production targets and safety checks, then move to the line to get machines dialed in. Throughout the day, you watch performance indicators, listen for changes, and step in quickly when something is off. You record what you see, share what you learn, and help teammates stay aligned so we hit goals together. Core responsibilities Operate and closely monitor equipment used in ferrous materials production to ensure consistent quality Perform routine inspections and basic preventive maintenance to keep machinery in optimal condition Follow established safety procedures and maintain an orderly, clean work area Partner with coworkers to meet output and schedule commitments Capture accurate production data and promptly escalate any variances to leaders Support onboarding by showing new team members proper processes and safe work habits Contribute ideas and actions to continuous improvement efforts that boost efficiency and quality What you will bring High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification is a plus Prior experience in manufacturing or industrial settings preferred Strong mechanical aptitude with practical problem solving ability Comfort working in a fast paced environment with shifting priorities Clear communication skills and a collaborative mindset Knowledge of safety practices and regulations applicable to manufacturing Flexibility to work varied hours, including overtime when required Proficiencies Equipment troubleshooting Maintenance and repair skills Experience in a manufacturing environment If you are detail focused and motivated by making high quality ferrous materials, we would like to hear from you.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification is a plus
