About The Position
Forest River, Inc., the Nation's largest manufacturer of Recreational Vehicles, Cargo Trailers, Transit Buses and Boats has an immediate opening. Fiberglass Final Finish Responsible for inspecting, repairing, buffing, polishing cured fiberglass components to meet cosmetic and structural standards. Key duties include sanding, grinding, filling defects, spraying gelcoat, and buffing to achieve a smooth, high-quality, defect-free finish. Requirements
- Proper operation, maintenance and proficiency with hand and power tools (sanders, spray guns, polishers)
- Safe handling/disposal of chemical materials like resins and solvents
- Ability to follow and understand all safety and quality standards always, including chemical handling standards and PPE
- Experience with fiber-reinforced plastics (FRP), gelcoat repair, and, generally, finishing techniques
- Strong attention to detail for identifying any cosmetic defects
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle physical demands like some heavy lifting and maneuvering around large parts
- Work by following specific job instructions including understanding and following verbal and written directions
