About The Position

Forest River, Inc., the Nation's largest manufacturer of Recreational Vehicles, Cargo Trailers, Transit Buses and Boats has an immediate opening. Fiberglass Roller – Manual Fiberglass Lamination applying fiberglass matting and resin to molds to create composite parts, for bus, truck and industrial components. This hands-on, detail-oriented role focuses on using rollers and manual tools to remove air voids, ensuring the final product is structurally sound, smooth, and conforms to specifications.

Requirements

  • Hand-Eye Coordination: Excellent dexterity for working with sticky materials, brushes, and rollers.
  • Physical Stamina: Ability to stand for long periods and bend or kneel.
  • Attention to Detail: Ability to spot small air bubbles or inconsistencies in the laminate.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience: Previous experience in manufacturing, composite, or fiberglass is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Applying Materials: Select and place precut fiberglass mats, cloth, or core materials onto prepared molds, following engineering instructions (SOPs).
  • Lamination & Rolling: Apply resin (polyester, vinylester, or epoxy) to the fiberglass, then use specialized, hand-held, or extended rollers to compress the layers.
  • Air Removal: Meticulously roll out air bubbles, voids, and wrinkles to prevent weak spots (delamination) and ensure a high-quality finish.
  • Housekeeping & Safety: Maintain a clean, organized, and safe workspace, properly disposing of hazardous materials and wearing necessary personal protective equipment (respirators, gloves).
