About The Position

In this role, you will serve as the primary technical liaison for enterprise-level customers, ensuring seamless deployment, performance, and optimization of complex data integration applications. You will troubleshoot application-level issues, debug Java code, and optimize database performance while maintaining high data quality across source and target systems. Acting as a trusted technical advisor, you will collaborate closely with support teams and customers to drive technical solutions, advocate for product improvements, and enhance the overall customer experience. This position offers the opportunity to work fully remotely in a dynamic, fast-paced technology environment, directly influencing application performance and operational efficiency. Your expertise will help customers leverage advanced cloud, database, and streaming technologies to achieve real-time data insights and drive digital transformation.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, Software Engineering, or equivalent experience
  • 4–7 years in a technical, customer-facing role within the technology industry
  • 3+ years experience with database management systems such as Oracle, MySQL, SQL Server, and proficiency in SQL
  • 3+ years experience in programming languages such as Java, Python, or Shell scripting
  • 3+ years experience or deep knowledge of cloud infrastructure and data services (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud)
  • UNIX/Linux expertise, with a strong understanding of networking, storage, security, and multi-tiered application environments
  • Familiarity with ETL processes and data management
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities in a remote environment
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills for cross-functional technical interactions

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with PostgreSQL streaming/logical replication, Oracle DataGuard, and GoldenGate
  • Hands-on knowledge of messaging systems such as Kafka and JMS
  • Previous experience developing Database-as-a-Service (DBaaS) solutions
  • Certifications from Microsoft, Cisco, or Linux environments are advantageous

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the product expert and trusted technical advisor during application deployment and ongoing support
  • Troubleshoot and resolve application-level issues, including debugging Java code and optimizing database performance
  • Provide syntactical suggestions, code fixes, and guidance to ensure applications function correctly post-troubleshooting
  • Act as the internal customer champion, coordinating with support teams and stakeholders to drive technical advocacy and product improvements
  • Manage multiple customer-reported cases efficiently and prioritize workload effectively
  • Reproduce customer issues using internal systems and environments (Docker, RDBMS, etc.)
  • Track and communicate customer issues, collaborate on training, and manage product feature requests (PFRs)
  • Monitor and optimize database performance and support ETL/data warehousing processes
