About The Position

As the Field Application Specialist, you will be responsible for offering product expertise, application knowledge and technical support along each step of the customer's process. The main missions are to ensure successful design, validation and implementation of our products, by supporting sales for product design, product positioning and demonstration, and supporting customers for application development work, initial startups and training. The Field Application Specialist will be covering the Central region, with a focus of serving customers in Denver, Kansas City, St. Louis, Minneapolis, and Chicago. Sartorius has an exciting opportunity for a dynamic, self-motivated professional to support our customers and organization within the Central region for Sartorius’ Bioreactor Technologies portfolio which includes bioreactor and process analytical technologies as well as Ambr technology support. In this remote position, the individual will play a key role as a trusted business partner to our customers as well as our internal Sales Organization. What you will accomplish together with us: Support the Sales organization on existing products through product presentations, demonstrations and application studies, and on new products in close collaboration with product management through beta sites testing and demonstrations Support Sales in the customer process and URS analysis, and generate application trials to help design optimized products in line with the application requirements Assist customers with their first product installation and initial start-up, and ensure the training of the customer Support Quality Department in the quality complaint process by troubleshooting and analyzing customers processes for better investigation and resolution Report on competitors’ products and feedback information to the Application Specialist Team as well as the Products Management Team What will convince us: BSc degree in biological engineering, life sciences or related field with a minimum of 3+ years biopharmaceutical industry experience, R&D/PD/Scale-up/GMP preferred or MSc Degree, in biological engineering, life sciences or related field with a minimum of 1year of biopharmaceutical industry experience, or PhD Ability to travel overnight up to 50% Ability to effectively interface with product/project/division management Ability to interact at various levels (sales, technical, users) Ability to multi-task and prioritize activities accordingly Excellent communication and presentation skills Computer proficient in Windows-based software package including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and outlook We Value: Experience with R&D/PD/Scale-up/GMP Product and application expertise for the relevant portfolio Hands on experience for key applications Identification with our core values: Sustainability, Openness, Enjoyment Salary range is $85,000-$110,000 (depending on experience, skill set, educations, and location), plus bonus and car allowance. Requirements
