Step into Your New Role Kleinfelder is seeking a goal‑oriented Field Construction Manager to join our team in Beaumont, TX. The Field Construction Manager will play a key role in ensuring project success through strong leadership, field oversight, coordination, and client communication.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent field experience.
  • Minimum of 6 years of construction management experience, beneficial skill sets would include civil infrastructure projects.
  • Demonstrated experience with site development and large-scale earthwork projects.
  • Working knowledge of civil drawings, topographic surveys, and grading plans.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.

Nice To Haves

  • Prior experience working in the energy market is highly preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Lead all phases of on-site construction for environmental land repurposing projects, including grading, trenching, foundations, access roads, and utility interconnections.
  • Coordinate civil work activities such as earthwork, drainage, erosion control, road development.
  • Manage subcontractors, vendors, and suppliers to ensure compliance with jurisdictional/district standards, contract documents, and industry best practices.
  • Ensures environmental regulations, OSHA safety requirements, and health and safety protocols are maintained.
  • Review and manage construction schedules, cost forecasts.
  • Coordinate closely with client's project teams, third-party engineers, inspectors, and permitting agencies to resolve field issues and ensure seamless project delivery.
  • Conduct routine site inspections, lead construction progress meetings, and produce detailed daily/weekly reports.
  • Review and process RFIs, submittals, change orders, and punch lists to maintain construction documentation in compliance with client's expectations.
  • Support project commissioning, energization, and closeout efforts in collaboration with jurisdictional operations teams.
  • Assists in preparation of presentation materials for project and schedule updates.
  • Mentor construction staff and help build internal capacity for future large-scale projects execution.
