Our team solves tough, meaningful problems that create a safer, more secure world. Join our Iron Dome Field Support Engineering team at Joint Base Lewis McChord, WA. In this role you will serve as a Senior Systems Technician and IT Specialist for the team with general guidance from Site Lead and Maintenance Chief. Start date contingent on funding What You Will Do Providing all aspects of the Iron Dome system and operational maintenance. Troubleshoot and identify system problems then recommend solutions; the Maintenance Chief will provide best course of repair implementation. Function as part of a field team that will interface with program subject matter professionals and customer representatives as well as act as technical subject matter expert in absence of Maintenance Chief. Ensure proper use of Iron Dome system assets. Provide expert level technical services on all aspects of information system development, working on unusually complex technical problems and providing highly innovative and ingenious solutions. Build operational Operations and Maintenance (O&M) checklists to maintain the service (daily, weekly, monthly and yearly O&M checklists); build Tactics, Techniques and Processes (TTPs) and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) associated with service checklists. Advanced technical competency in one or more of the following supported platforms: Microsoft Windows Server, Active Directory, Enterprise Networking/firewalls/intrusion detection/prevention systems, Group Policy Management and configuration, Windows server, Windows Desktop OS, and Microsoft Office. Effectively communicate with peers, higher-ups, and customers in a timely manner. Potential working alternating shifts, on-call shifts, or a non-standard schedule.

Requirements

  • Typically requires a bachelor’s in science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 8 years of prior relevant experience.
  • Active and transferable U.S. government issued security clearance is required prior to start date.
  • U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.
  • Professional development experience performing mechanical and systems level maintenance tasks.
  • 3+ years of professional experience in Preventive Maintenance Checks and Services (PMCS).
  • Valid SEC + certification.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience as an Air Defense Non-Commissioned Officer or enlisted with background in PATRIOT, LPWS, CRAM or Iron Dome systems.
